Minimalist Christmas Gift Guide | Kids Edition
Before becoming a mom, I never realized how wide the world of toys really was. Each year that I have been a mom I have realized more and more the abundance of toys out there, and the importance of investing in good ones that last. Because similar to the fashion industry, a lot of toys are made cheaper than ever for the short term enjoyment! Now- don’t get me wrong, my kids love the good old, bright colored plastic toys, but overall I try to be conscious and find a balance! I love well-made, aesthetically pleasing toys that double as things we can leave out in our home for learning and playing! Our current home has no playroom so our big toys are left out in the main living space on display. Being the design lover that I am, I can’t help but feel more at peace in a space full of well designed toys, especially when my kids love them!
I get a lot of questions on instagram where certain toys are from in our home so I wanted to pull together a list of favorites for both this year and from the past. I tried to include both some bigger items that are more costly, with smaller, less expensive ones that you could pair with the large one! I usually pick one to two bigger items per holiday, order them on sale, and even sometimes grandparents want to gift one to them or help chip in!
