destination & pinterest worthy michigan venues
I am finally taking the time to share some venues I love shooting at. There is a common theme, they almost all involve the natural beauty that Michigan has to offer! I have either shot at these before or they are on my “I want to be booked here” list (only 3 of these I have not shot weddings at…yet).
I also have big hopes to inspire couples as they imagine and plan their big day in Michigan to look so much further than the photos you see on their website. The beauty we could create with an open mind to think outside the box, envisioning each venue like a blank slate to create the michigan destination wedding you are dreaming of! There are 6 destination worthy venues that I will share with you today, and three more that I have loved shooting at and I would love to be your photographer at any of these beautiful venues! I may even offer a little discount if you book me at one of these!
I had two events here this summer and both were gorgeous and delicious. The food is amazing and the atmosphere/views make for the most gorgeous backdrops for photos which was way too fun for me as the photographer! It definitely gives the Tuscany vibes with the arched openings, vines up the walls, lake, and mountain backdrop!
I love to imagine what the blank canvas of each venue has to offer, this one could give california coast wedding vibes!
I would die to help plan & photograph a wedding styled that way at Lake Bluff!
A new favorite is Foxglove which just opened this year after 2 years of construction on the barn! It is the nicest barn you will ever step foot in, with 200 acres of orchards, overlook, wild flowers, and more for photos and your ceremony! You can also have your reception outside the barn on the stone pad!
